Un instructor del campamento de entrenamiento Kommandokorps en Carolina, Sudáfrica, muestra técnicas de utilización de armas. Dirigido por el autodenominado «Coronel» Franz Jooste, el Kommandokorps organiza campamentos durante las vacaciones escolares estivales para adolescentes blancos, en los que se les enseña a combatir a los considerados enemigos negros. Jooste formó parte de la Fuerza de Defensa Sudafricana durante el régimen del apartheid. Se muestra reacio al concepto de nación multicultural y considera que en Sudáfrica habrá una guerra civil.

Ilvy Njiokiktjien (27) was born in Utrecht, the Netherlands. After leaving school, she studied for a year in South Dakota, USA, before returning to study journalism and photography in Utrecht. Njiokiktjien graduated in 2006 and started working as a writer and photographer for the Dutch newspaper Spits, and for the Dutch Press Agency, ANP. In 2007, she took off to work for The Star, a South African daily, and had the idea of traveling back from Johannesburg to Utrecht by car.
